FAQs

How do I become a silversmithing instructor at camp?

When you begin your application you’ll be asked to select your top skills. Make sure you choose silversmithing. Go into detail about what you’re going to bring to the role, your skill level and if you’re already qualified. A camp director will then be able to assess if you’re a good fit and invite you to their camp.

How can I make my silversmithing application stronger?

The more experience working with children you can gain before the summer, the better your application. Look to schools and local art projects to volunteer with and build up your own portfolio through self motivated work or classes.

How many children should I expect to teach in one lesson?

Campers will come down to the session as a division (age group). Divisions can range from 10-30 campers. You’ll have the assistance of counselors but it will be up to you to instruct a small group.
