Your first step is to hit the 'Apply now' button to begin your application.

Before you do, make sure to read more about the roles at camp and check you're eligible for Camp Leaders.
Create your profile and book your free first interview
Next up, you can begin to create your profile by providing your basic details. Do not forget to go to your interview section and choose a good time slot🗓️
Pay your $50USD deposit
After you have been interviewed by one of our team members for the first time.

If you are eligible for the program, we will give you a green light to pay your $50USD deposit and schedule a second interview.
Attend your second interview
We'll let you know your next steps and answer your questions.

Your "formal" interview will be a fairly relaxed chat with one of our friendly National Team interviewers, who've all been to camp themselves.

Complete your application
You can now list your work experience, education, and any skills you might want to teach at camp.

At this stage, new areas of your application will open up for you to complete, and you can upload all of your completed documents (like police check and references).
Interview with camp
With your application live, summer camps from all around the States will approach you for an interview (or with Hiring Fairs, you can approach them).

They'll organize a date and time for your online interview. Be prepared, be professional, but most importantly, be you. You've got it.

Get hired
The moment you've been waiting for - you've found your camp; you're going to USA! This can take anywhere from 24 hours - 3 months. The average time for someone to find their camp is 31 days.

Don't worry if it takes longer than you expected, it happens. After you've confirmed your place, we'll confirm when to look at flights, insurance, and other details.
Get your visa
You'll have a quick interview with a consular officer at your local American Embassy to get your official J1 Cultural Exchange visa to the USA.

We’ll be there to help you every step of the way, whether preparing your documents before or guiding you on the day.

We'll run these sessions between March and May to make sure you're ready for your adventure.
