FAQs

How can I make my music teacher application stand out?

As with other music jobs abroad, it's about your own skill level and making sure you have the experience. Look to local lessons and for advice from ABRSM (the Royal schools of music) for advice on qualifications and teaching. Your application will also heavily benefit from adding performances and clips of your work to your showcase - let the music do the talking and show camp why you are perfect for the job.

How do I become a music instructor at camp?

When you begin your application you’ll be asked to select your top skills. You’ll be able to choose your specialised skill set - music, DJ or orchestral - go into detail about what you’re going to bring to the role, your skill level and if you’re already qualified. A camp director will then be able to assess if you’re a good fit and invite you to their camp.

How many children should I expect to teach in one lesson?

Campers will come down to the session as a division (age group). Divisions can range from 10-30 campers. You’ll have the assistance of counselors but it will be up to you to instruct a small group.
