The children will more than likely be at a beginner’s level and you will use your own experiences, along with the camp’s horse riding programme, to help develop the children’s skills. How can I apply for a horse riding role at summer camp?

When starting your application you’ll be asked to select your top skills. Choose Horse Riding. Go into detail about what you’re going to bring to the role, your skill level and if you’re already qualified. A camp director will then be able to assess if you’re a good fit and invite you to their camp.

How can I make my application stronger without any qualifications?

The best way to make your application stronger is to have the qualifications to back it up. Horse riding instructor jobs in America are a fantastic way to spend the summer but also very competitive. If you are serious about coaching football in the USA then take a look at courses which may give you confidence and show your skill level.

How many children will I be coaching in one session?

Your horse riding insutrctor job will see you teaching various campers divided by age group. These divisions can vary in skill level, but are usually made up of 10-13 campers. You’ll then be paired with an individual camper or a group, and don’t worry - you’ll be supported by your fellow counselors, who will act as volunteer horse riding instructors. There will also be numerous trained horse riding instructors in one group.
