Droning jobs in America.

What's involved in drone jobs at summer camp?

Drone usage is becoming more and more common at camps as they invest into new technology to teach their campers. Most camps also try to keep parents informed about how the summer is going, so they'll hire staff to capture photo and video. You'll spend a lot of time capturing amazing footage while droning, meaning that most of your summer will be spent in the great outdoors and seeing the American wilderness from a whole new angle.

Soar to the skies this summer.
While qualifications are valuable to include in your application, we believe in getting a role based on your passions.

Why should I work with drones at summer camp?

Flying a drone in the great outdoors all summer long, getting aerial views of camp, playing with cool tech - we're not sure we really need to answer this one. Capable drone pilots are still somewhat of a rare find, and with more summer camps than ever investing in new tech, there are jobs available to work with drones at several camps. Most camps will have drones with a GoPro or other camera attached - so you'll see America from angles no one else's camera can reach. You'll be able to use the footage, add some cool droning music and sound effects, and have epic videos and pictures to remember your summer in America. Trust us, drone video jobs at camp are some of the best jobs out there.

FAQs

What's the process of applying to be a drone instructor at camp?

When starting your application you’ll be asked to select your top skills. Choose droning. Go into detail about what you’re going to bring to the role, your skill level and if you’re already qualified. A camp director will then be able to assess if you’re a good fit and invite you to their camp.

How many children will I be coaching in one droning session?

Campers come down to sessions in age group divisions. These divisions can vary in skill level, but are usually made up of 10-30 campers. You’ll then be paired with an individual camper or a group, and don’t worry - you’ll be supported by your fellow specialists and counsellors.

Why should I choose activity specialist?

You'll develop your skills in an activity that you are passionate about, but you'll also have more time off than other counselors. You'll likely share a cabin with other specialists, rather than campers, and get to know the whole camp as they rotate through your activity.
