What's involved with teaching arts & crafts at camp?
As an arts and crafts specialist at camp, you'll lead 6-7 sessions daily, working with various kids to create fun, skill-building projects using materials like glitter, glue, cardboard, and pipe cleaners. As well as your usual tasks, you may assist with camp plays, evening programs, and event decorations.

When you begin your application you’ll be asked to select your top skills. Make sure you choose arts. Go into detail about what you’re going to bring to the role, your skill level and if you’re already qualified. A camp director will then be able to assess if you’re a good fit and invite you to their camp.
The more experience working with children you can gain before the summer, the better your application. Look to schools and local art projects to volunteer with and build up your own portfolio through self motivated work or classes.
Campers will come down to the session as a division (age group). Divisions can range from 10-13 campers. You’ll have the assistance of counselors but it will be up to you to instruct a small group.
