Facilties and Accommodation

Accommodations at specialist camps closely resemble that of a traditional camp, commonly in a cabin with bunks and electricity. Certain camps may have varying areas depending on their speciality, but overall still offer a traditional set of activities. Meals are most often served in a large mess hall, which become events themselves!

You'll be able to find out more about the accommodations during your interview with your Camp Director, who'll answer all the questions you'll have about your specialist camp.

Activities at specialist camps.

These summer camps have a specific theme or focus, and provide a higher level of teaching, coaching, or training in that activity than the more traditional, general camps.

For example, certain camps may be solely for sport, whereas other camps may be created for underprivileged inner-city children, who'd normally not have the opportunity to go to summer camp.

This type of special focus allows these camps to be great in the area that they serve.

The campers.

Campers at specialist camps can depend on what type of camp it is. It could be an all boys camp, all girls camp, underprivileged children's camp, sports camp, or even more.

These camps cover a tremendous range and you'll connect with people from all walks of life, and be better for it.
